We want to join Sarah and the Chicagoland Ex-JW Friendship group in Aurora.
Sarah will probably be closing up this group, but a new member, Marcela has opened up a Suburban group. We are all about helping/supporting each other. This will be an opportunity to see who can make it out to the west suburbs and who would enjoy supporting such a location.
Three other reasons to join this meetup. Sarah scheduled a great place to eat. I and a few others have met with her there a couple months ago. Reason number two is that it is close to the gambling boat (walking distance) for anyone interested. Reason number three is that you need to get out of the city and see the rest of the state.
If you need transportation, let me know what area you would be coming from and I will post an email for you to the members.

“ The food was good. I had a nice time. I want to say too that I believe the purpose of the meetup is for those who are Witnesses, were Witnesses and who have friends and spouses who are there for support though they may not actually have been Witnesses. I'm sure that the two people who weren't Witnesses that was at the meet up felt bad and left early because one person made them feel not welcome. That was not cool. I felt embarrassed and was glad that Jerry came to our end of the table cause I wanted to move my seat anyway. First instance was the lady asked who had been and hadn't been a JW. The couple to my left said they weren't and then the lady said (don't know names yet) "Well why are you here? ... I don't wanna talk to you I wanna talk to someone who has been or is a Witness." Later on after the meal conversation was going on and the lady on my right said "Are you gonna keep asking me questions, or are you able to help me?" Shortly thereafter the couple left. I was stunned both ” -
