The San Diego Ex-Jehovah's Witness March Meeting

The purpose of our group is to provide a place of acceptance for ex-JWs, to offer understanding, encouragement and support. There is no pressure to talk about religion.
Actually, the meeting is open to anyone who is interested, not necessarily only ex-JWs. One person who came has a son who is a current JW, and found that our discussions were helpful in understanding her son's thinking and behavior.
Our usual format is getting acquainted with new ones and listening to their story---how they became a JW, why they left, and where they are now in life's journey. Many have found that these meetings fill a real need in recovering from disillusionment and bad experiences in the Watchtower organization.
The six of us at the February meeting found it very beneficial and invite others to join us. The meeting is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m., but you can stay longer if you want to talk further. Refreshments are provided so you don't have to skip lunch.
